Todd N. Wurschmidt is an experienced executive. Through his employment, his education, as well as his hobbies, Wurschmidt has seen and done quite a variety of activities that have given him the know-how and understanding to be a success in all of his many endeavors. Dr. Wurschmidt spent a majority of his career working in executive positions at nonprofit organizations. Todd Wurschmidt currently serves as CEO for the nonprofit PARADOX Associations, where he’s been working since March of 2008. PARADOX Associations is a consulting agency for other nonprofit organizations; Dr. Wurschmidt helps nonprofits with fundraising ideas, planning, solving problems, and creating international programs. Todd Wurschmidt also has experience working with emergency officials, including police officers and firefighters, and gained a working knowledge of the special needs and challenges they face every day. Dr. Wurschmidt was the CEO at the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police. Wurschmidt helped the nonprofit increase revenue, conducted research, worked on the homeland security campaign, and established exchange programs with police organizations in other countries. Dr. Wurschmidt has also held positions as the CEO of the Law Enforcement Foundation, D.A.R.E. Association of Ohio, Ohio Crime Prevention Association as well as the Ohio School Resource Officers Association. Because of his experiences in the nonprofit industry, Todd N. Wurschmidt, who became a certified association executive (CAE) in the mid 1980s, has become affiliated with the American Fundraising Professionals, American Society of Association Executives, Association Forum of Chicagoland and the American Management Association. Todd Wurschmidt studied sociology and zoology at The Ohio State University, where, in addition to his full time duties, he landed a position as an Adjunct Assistant Professor. Dr. Wurschmidt’s graduate course, which he created, covered leadership roles in nonprofit organizations and associations. Even Wurschmidt’s favorite pastimes are numerous and varied. Todd enjoys power walking, reading, swimming, international traveling, meeting new people, and learning new and challenging things. As example, Dr. Wurschmidt is currently taking courses in French and Spanish, and studying for his certification as a CFRE, Certified Fundraising Executive.
